Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Pick-up & Drive to Sekenani
Early morning pick-up from your lodge or camp near Maasai Mara (or arranged pick-up from Nairobi with a scenic 4-hour drive). Short drive to the manyatta just outside the Sekenani gate.

Welcome & Homestead Tour
Traditional Maasai welcome with a blessing from the elder. Walk through the boma — see how the enkaj is constructed, learn about the cattle enclosure layout, and understand the social structure of the community.

Cattle Herding on the Plains
Accompany Maasai morans (warriors) as they herd cattle across the open plains near the Mara. Learn how cattle are the heart of Maasai life — wealth, food, and status all in one. Experience the landscape the way the Maasai have for generations.

Beadwork & Women's Cooperative
Sit with the Maasai women's beadwork cooperative. Learn the symbolism behind each color — red for bravery, blue for energy, green for the land. Create your own beaded item to take home. Purchase authentic beadwork directly from the makers.

Elder's Medicine Walk & Storytelling
Bush walk with a Maasai elder who shares knowledge of medicinal plants and survival skills passed down orally for generations. Gather under an acacia tree for stories of Maasai history, the age-set system, and rites of passage.

Adumu Dance & Farewell Meal
Join the community for the adumu (jumping dance) and traditional songs. Share a farewell meal of nyama choma prepared Maasai-style. Depart with a deeper understanding of one of Africa's most iconic cultures.
